I did say I'd make this one day and here it is. What other idea's do you have?

Suggestions for AE that should be implemented:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Town uniqueness post (posted by erudite):
http://forums.pixelminegames.com/index.php...ic=6726&hl=
- I've already suggested this several times in other posts, now I'm making a post special for this suggestion. Make each town unique once again; for example, long ago rose seeds could be bought from Lotors Castle only. Make it so each town has a few items sold in their town stores that is unique to that town. Things like bloodroots (Arda used to sell these) or potions, secondary runes, food stuffs, armor, weapons, etc.
- Lara Orcspitter suggested player run shops. (maybe even AFK shops?)
- Distinct item variety in towns, Bring then back! (posted by Unknown)
http://forums.pixelminegames.com/index.php...ic=3037&hl=
Not too long ago, the item stock was unique--to some degree--in each town. For instance, Chlera was the only town that carried an unlimited supply of beef steak. Unfortunately, recent updates have changed this and no town is different from any other town when it comes to shop stock.
Except for visitations to start a quest, most towns are currently lifeless due to the lack of attraction. By having a more distinct item stock to each town, players may be more willing to go to seldom visited places such as Vrethpool or Ethera Palace. Well, realistically speaking, this probably wouldn't do that much to town populations because it's still a very small concern. However, this could be a step forward to bring back life to towns =)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- More Foods (posted by Lothandra):
http://forums.pixelminegames.com/index.php...ic=5488&hl=
When will we get more recipes of food items to make. Im getting bored with pies and so on. I know we where promised ages ago that something new would be added. I also remember oneeye pointing out one of my very old posts inregards to ideas for food items saying he would be adding some. what ever happen to that? and will this update bring any new food items. and when will the cook on lsp be working?
Erudite's reply:
Absinth - use a poison sac in the drink? lol well maybe not we dont have anise
porridge - boiled oats (can use wheat) with water and/or milk
gruel - similar to porridge but more watery, often with addition of salt, sugar, milk or cream.
pasta - dough from flour water and/or eggs + tomato sauce? + white/cheese sauce?
cheeses - get milk from goat/cow and churn it? + curdling needs acid so possibly lemon/lime?
broths - liquid in which bones, meat, fish, cereal grains or vegtables simmered and strained out.
custards - milk and eggs sometimes sugar and flour
sponge cake - sugar, egg, flour, sometimes with baking powder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- New Brews (posted by erudite):
http://forums.pixelminegames.com/index.php...ic=5433&hl=
So theres Dragon Breath that gives +12 dex, what about having other brews that give +12 int or str or con? They could be made with similar amounts of ingredients and give/take similar stats to/from the player. Also for the names I'd suggest they be named for their respective towns (dex/whisperdale, int/silvest, str/krog); a brew for LSP giving +12 con.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- 106+ crafting bonus revision, posted by Tempester:
http://forums.pixelminegames.com/index.php...ic=4267&hl=
Instead of the skill reducing failure rate, have the skill increase yield rate. Have it so that a base bonus goes out to all harvesting skills (Mining, Lumberjacking, Skinning, Foraging, Planting, etc). This way, the 106 bonus will give more Mandrake than normal. Or more Talenite. Or more Dark ore.
I'm a crafter. I don't need the 106 HP bonus, but I took it because I was like...the crafting one is silly. If there was *this* bonus, though, I would take it. A 20% increase, for example, would be *fantastic.*
I believe the 108 or 109 is the other bonus, which stacks. Instead of having it stack, or decrease failure rate, have it increase production rate.. Any skill which produces multiple items gets the bonus. Alchemy, Arrow Crafting, Brewing, Baking, etc all get a 40% increase in output. Meaning that a lvl 100 alchemy character with this skill would make 7 Potions instead of 5, or 35 instead of 25 arrows.
Every player in the game will benefit from these changes. Crafters will be happy because they are harvesting and producing more productively. Consumers are happy because there are more items available more often. A crafter can put out 140 Blood Bandages instead of 100. 20% and 40% bonuses (respectively) are competitive and not overpowered (in my opinion). You're asking someone not to take the 106, or 108 bonus and instead have it simply for crafting.
I believe this would be a good change, a good way to update two skills which aren't widely selected (assumption) and make them very attractive (for a crafter, and I am one).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Fix hair (yes I know it's not a big priority but it's not only me whose bugged by this!)
- Books you can write in and give away, also have the ability to copy the books so you don have to write the same thing 40 times. (erudite's post)
http://forums.pixelminegames.com/index.php...c=10792&hl=
- Quest Logger, this is a huge issue with many players and a large deterrant to new players.
- Mailboxes for houses/guildhouses, safe place people can give items to others who may not be online or near for a pickup. Or even a NPC mailman at major towns, would help the GM's when they answer a page of someone who is offline or afk; less complaints that someone paged a GM and the GM hasn't answered in a timely manner.
I have to disagree with the taking away of VIP status for the reason of guild halls going poof. Your entire guild works their butts' off in order to build an extremely expensive and time consuming guild hall and you leader gets caught up in something nasty, VIP on leader gone and BAM bye bye all your hard work, turned in drops, ect. I think if it was implemented then a guild leader should get warning that their status is about to be taken so they have time to transfer the deed temporarily to a member they can trust with construction and a valid VIP membership.
As for the orange tabby cat skin... i totally agree!! I wants to be orange cat!!!
Also, can a dev or gm confirm on that vip and guildhouse/house go poof thing? Ooo I just had an idea, how bout the person still is a VIP but loses the VIP bonus's, but can keep their house and guildhouse. Maybe they could have a red glow to their vip symbol so people know, uh oh this person's been naughty!! XD
Alright, this was only a basic idea but its good to get discussion rolling. The guildhouse issue; if someone on L who is a leader of a guild who has a guildhouse as well as a regular house is naughty, they will be given 1 week irl time to transfer their deed to another person (the week gives them a week to get someone past 3rd and 4th book if they have not done so). It will also give that person the deed is passed to, hopefully enough time to get a subscription since I know you have to have a sub to keep the guildhouse. Also, how bout being able to salvage houses, it would be similar to how other things are salvaged ingame, you will get back a certain % of the building materials that went into the house; or maybe some of the raw materials back. But there has to be a message pop up that says, are you sure you want to salvage your home? Maybe 2 messages for just incase cause that can be a pretty big deal :o
As for the players on H, I have other ideas listed besides being thrown to Heroes for the Legends players, please read those Ertzel.
What do you girls/guys think?? What suggestions do you have???
The whole idea is to scare people into behaving. Don't break the rules and you won't have to worry about it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/AECohmy.gif)
I know, and im all for that. But this goes back to what Arimi posted and Eru said. Think about if a guild spent months working to build up, they put all their loot in a guild house, then the guild leader decides to go and break the ELUA, now all these people who have items in the guild house lose them because of that 1 person. I know you could say well the guild leader could of just taken all the loot anyways but that has nothing to do with this.
As for the other ideas, I like them all, and I strongly agree with the level reduction idea.
As for the guild leader issue, make sure you join a guild where the guild leader is trustworthy and won't pull off a stunt where they end up getting thrown to Heroes, or spanked by the GM's. The guild reflects on the guildleader as the guildleader reflects upon the guild. If you feel you are in a guild that doesn't uphold these standards, you stay in that guild at your own risk.
There are too many gray areas in the rules. They are not explained clearly, and when you defend yourself the GMs tell you to quit "twisting the rules around". They don't know **** about the game. l o l.
People are falsely accused/punished. Most GMs are idiots.
Sylith does not approve.
You said, if the guild leader decides to break the EULA rules so I replied, then watch out for what guild you join. Mrs. Arimi said if the guildleader gets caught up in something nasty; I interpreted that as the guildleader did not intentionally break the EULA.
Why would you post the same thing as arimi anyway o.o
Why is it that people criticize and criticize but don't offer suggestions themselves? If tossing bad players on L to H is such a bad idea the Dev's won't do it. Help figure out a better suggestion.
On town uniqueness, another aspect is that every shop buys everything now so there is no reason to go to a shop that you aren't buying from. I remember having to bank general merchandise when hunting around Hothbra because Hothbra had no general store in the old days. You could sell armor drops to the armorer and weapon drops to the weaponsmith, but if you wanted to sell misc gear you have to go to Jeel or New Korleth. That aspect of stores only buying the type of goods they sell is the kind of semi-realism that is slipping away with each update.
Otherwise everything is fine. As for Guild Leaders, guild houses, and such; be careful which guild you join.
As sylith said, Its not always so cut and dry. The rules are so vague and loosely defined that depending on what GM shows up, you get a completely different perspective on whats right and whats wrong. Plus you have to take into the account the Human element that the GMs could make a bad and somewhat biased descision, that would affect an entire guild that may not have done anything wrong. If taking VIP away would become policy for breaking the rules as defined by a GM, then the guild deed should pass itself to the next rank (captain) that has VIP at that moment. If the guild doesnt have any VIP members then bye bye guildhouse.
Plus you have to take into account that this is a game, and things happen IRL that sometimes make it so that a person wouldnt be able to log on for a month or more, most people buy VIP 1 month at a time, this would surely lose most ppls guild house if something like this happened.
Maybe there could be some type of system within the guild that if the guild leader (deed holder) looses VIP, it goes into a 30 day "grace period" Within these 30 days either the leader can renew VIP to save the guild house OR the 2nd highest rank members (captains) can take a vote to pass the deed to one of the captains, (could be something like right click on the captains name, and you get an option flagged "nominate for General", that only appears in this grace period) And if a certain % of the captains in the guild (maybe can be altered by the general) nominate the change, the deed is auto transfered to the nominee.
How about, guildhouses do not need a subscription to stay put, only private homes need a subscription to stay put. Heck maybe private homes shouldn't require a subscription either, you do buy construction solely to build a house/guildhouse, shouldn't that be enough?
