Hello all,

As you might have noticed by reading the forums, spawn killing has been a very annoying problem lately. It seems to be happening quite often and it is very hard for the GMs to monitor players/spawn gates 24/7. Therefore, a new procedure will be followed starting today. Players are encouraged to send whatever proof they have to support. This can be screenshots or videos (preferable). Support will then evaluate the proof being presented and take the needed steps accordingly. Please understand that not all proof may be valid. While something might be clear to you, it may not necessarily present a good enough proof. We will try to look into the proof in as much detail as we possibly can to identify what was happening and then take the needed steps based on the observations made. Please try to submit the proof as soon as possible. Getting an email about a spawnkilling that happened a week or two ago may not be the best way to go.

Players are still encouraged to page a GM in game when spawnkilling occurs. We will keep trying to get at the location in time. The new procedure should offer a fair alternative seeing the difficulties we face when dealing with these incidents.

Ideally, the player being spawnkilled is the one who'll send the email with the proof. Please don't ask your friends and your friends' friends to send emails for you. The more emails we get, the longer it takes to take action and the less efficient the system will be.

Please note that submitting forged or modified proof will result in disciplinary action.

If someone isint supost to be spawn killed... How come you guys just code it so "Temp" Wanted players cannot be killed in a safe zone?
Im sorry, but it just doesnt make sense to me.

Spawngates do not make up the only safezones in the game, on top of that spawnkilling is not limited to just the gate itself but anywhere within the screen of the gate.

Also, if you are being spawn killed it is best to page WHILE it is occurring so there is a chance that we can get there before it ends. Paging after it's over doesn't help us much. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Can you guys code something to stop spawn killing? since theres nothing there to stop people they are not going to stop.

me too...im really surprised that everything within a possible screen width of the gate hasnt been made a safe zone.

I still say the size of safe zones around spawngates should be increased to the desired minimum distance for pvp. ALSO, I STRONGLY suggest HARSHER punishments. Past disciplinary action have been too mild.

We are looking at all towns and safe zones to make sure they are appropriately marked. That requires a full update ie bringing down the servers. Here's what it'll be:

Newb and Uncapturable towns: Safe, No Drop zones
Capturable Towns: No Drop zones
Spawn Gates: Safe, No Drop zones

I like it, will you also increase the size of save zones around spawngates to minimize spawnkilling?

Why do people spawnkill when they *KNOW* they shouldn't be? Punish them for their stupidity. Simple as that and take no excuses.

lies. whens the last time you heard of someone at Badlands Cave hunting?
whens the last time you heard of someone going to Ice Demons?
whens the last time you heard of someone hunting VoG?
we can make the list go on, now the world is limited to another space, keep coming up with new areas, but yet we have a WHOLE world that should be made better.

They finally did something cool with Ringhaven now we got 32948203984290438203 more towns to go !
