Who did you get your money order from?

That sounds shady to me...

The reason people use money orders is because they are secure, and reversible. If you sent PMG a $100.00 MO, and they didn't cash it, you should be able to get it all back (minus the premium).

On another note, Pixelmine is in trouble, if you read the forums, you can find One Eye explaining that the employees of PMG,
Have had to get "real" jobs, because they are hemorrhaging money.

So at this point, contacting the BBB, will do you very little good, PMG is a failing business.

This game now has 0 support.

That being said, I doubt anyone is trying to rip you off, I honestly think that there just isn't anyone there to fix it.

If I was you, I would either, cancel the MO, or cut my losses.
Because you are probably not going to be getting much support from Texas.

At this point I pretty much have cut my losses as there is still no response from them after 2 weeks from the initial complaint. Still to add salt to the wound paybycash was stoped 2 years ago, and the fact the option is still there shows they couldn't spend 5 minutes removing the following page:
https://secure.pixelminegames.com/MyBilling...OptionsHelp.htm and
CODE
<select name="ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$PaymentMethodDropDownList" onchange="java script:setTimeout('__doPostBack(\'ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$PaymentMethodDropDownList\',\'\')', 0)" id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_PaymentMethodDropDownList" style="font-size:11px;width:138px;">
     <option selected="selected" value="0">-- Credit Card --</option>
     <option value="-2">-- Money Order --</option> <---- Remove
     <option value="-1">-- All Other --</option> <---- Remove
</select>

from https://secure.pixelminegames.com/StorePurchaseTokens.aspx.

That only took me 2 minutes to find with no developer tools just using the view source button.

Sincerely,

That's funny. So when a new customer is ripped off and learns false information after the fact, it's not PMGs problem because they are a failing business.

This type of behaviour is actually encourage now, remember when we all used to complain about awful support over 5+ years ago?

The BBB could at least perhaps possibly and maybe entice Mr. Money to start addressing his paying customers instead of taking sex vacations in 3rd world countries.

...so, you know where he is, you know his name, and that's what you think he's doing? A small amount of googling will tell you what he's working on right now, and why he's been nearly 100% out of contact for the last year, and why you're probably not going to hear from him for another 6 months. The industry is no cake walk, especially when you're a director of a game for one of the largest game companies.

The AAA industry is pretty brutal, to put it lightly. Yeah, this current situation sucks for this dude and for the rest of us who want to enjoy our nostalgia trip, but c'mon have some realistic expectations given your insight into the situation.

Ehh, it's on wikipedia now, so: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skull_%26_Bones_(video_game)

Guys, let's not start dragging people through the mud and keep this civilized. I know how hard the game industry is, but is it really difficult to spend 5 minutes skimming the forums to at least know what's going on? I could remove the code i posted above if they send me the pages source code and send the fixed version back if it helps. Either way as i stated previously at this point I'm sadly pretty much cutting my losses. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/AECwacko.gif)

None of my statements were intended to call you out. If that's the way it seemed, then I apologize. Your situation sucks, and you're right fixing it is easy. Posting the fix for the site isn't anything worth worrying about, because a) you're totally right and b) it's freely available to anyone with an account.

Additionally, no it isn't hard to skim the forums. I just can relate with under supported side projects and 16 hour work days, so I take it a bit personal when someone attacks someone else personally (which you, 100% did NOT do) just because their priorities don't line up.

I think you've handled the situation a lot more calmly and professionally than I would have in your same position.

So in reekosheas world, you can run a "business" and collect money payments yet never address the customers.

OE doesn't read the forums because he doesn't need to, as long as people keep paying VIP he will keep the game going.

This game should be free at this point or shut down.

No worries I just didn't want this thread to turn into a flamewar.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I mean if they provide me the source code to the script that generates that page I can modify it to remove those 2 options as a service to the community and to prevent others from falling into the same trap I'm in.

I agree

I agree attacking each other won't help the situation.

Thank you for the comforting words, I really appreciate it.

That's not at all what he said.

Or until the notorious reputation of not giving customers what they paid for catches up with him, then unfortunately not many people are going to be willing to give up their hard earned cash and the game may go down for good which I would imagine everyone wants to avoid including me. Speaking of VIP I see many threads where people haven't received their gift bags for several month and others which received scrolls what apparently the feature for it has been disabled.

And your going to pay for the servers and electricity powering them how??? Not to mention someone to stand by when the server goes down as well as support staff. You do realize dedicated servers are quite expensive?

No more tears...time to start crying.

Welcome to AE.

These walls of texts aren't going change anything. Jerking each other off helps, I guess.

OE makes enough from his actual job, according to Reeko, OE is way up there.

This game is overcharged and underdeveloped. Not maintained, full of game breaking bugs.

How is that dedicated support staff treating you?

Give your head a shake and move on. There is a reason why nobodies play this now.

Sincerely,

Drink your tears

Hmmm....just noticed OE posted on April 9th of this year, and I STILL don't have my tokens AND my support ticket disappeared. Coincidence?

The original support ticket had 2 requests - an email change and the notice of a money order being sent. When I replied to the first asking what email address to change to, the 2nd request about the incoming money order was lost. It wasn't resurfaced until the user responded to the ticket with the email address last week.

Overall a mess up on our part. It's been fixed.
