Yup, that's a base amount. The race bonus (Brimlock, +20 to Digging, all Smelting, and all Forging) only increases your success rate. It does not enable you to do what people skilled 20 levels higher can do. You'll have noticed this quite early on with forging. You weren't immediately able to forge all items, which by level 20 Iron Forging you pretty much are able to do. So you get a higher success rate, but not the actual benefits of having the higher skill. Another example would be with Digging. Imagine you have 20 Digging. You get the success of someone with 40 Digging (because of the race bonus), but you only get 3 ore with each success (which corresponds to having 20 Digging), rather than 5 (which corresponds to having 40 Digging).

Hope that makes sense.

I'm able to mine thrallenite at base level 51 and 71 with race bonus. So race bonus does help you mine the different ores.

Hmmm i never even thought to try it with a normal pick axe. Just always use a Magic Pick Axe. I find that its easier to get Brim than it is to get Tundrite. Have you noticed that too?

I will save them for you, I like to hunt minotaurs from time to time, and it's some where between 1 and 3% drop chance.
