Hey!

I have nFringe running on my 32 bit laptop on visual studio 2010 just fine after setting up visualassistX to ignore .uc files. But on my pc, nFringe just keeps crashing my visual studio. When i click on debug it tells me there has been a stack overflow. It keeps happening when i'm editing text.

Is this a problem on my part somehow or is this known with nFringe on 64 bit?

thanks

Can you post the exact version you have installed? You can find it in Visual Studio's Help->About dialog.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I realised i didn't have visual studio SP 1, so i installed that but it didn't help any

Here is the copied info:

QUOTE
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010
Version 10.0.40219.1 SP1Rel
Microsoft .NET Framework
Version 4.0.30319 SP1Rel

nFringe 1.1.34.193

The exact message when i debug was:
QUOTE
StackOverflowException was unhandled.
An unhandled exception of type 'System.StackOverflowException' occurred in System.Core.dll

When i'm editing a .uc file and scrolling around in it, it randomly hangs for a bit and then it crashes. This only happens with nFringe projects, not when i'm coding c++.

Hi Robin,

There was a rare case I know of that triggered that behavior in the version you're using. Can you upgrade to the latest preview release and let me know if the problem is resolved? The preview releases are listed at the bottom of this page:

Thanks! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It hasn't crashed so far, so it seems to have fixed it. Thanks! I will post again if it ever does crash
