Hi, OneEye and Dransik "Community".

Some time ago (a year or two) I bounced an idea on these forums and I think its time to do it again, even though my old post has been deleted.

What would it take realistically speaking for OneEye & co. to sell Dransik?
Why hasn't it been done yet? Are there some technical difficulties?

I have seen one of the devs (I think it was OneEye) stating that running
Dransik is a zero-sum game. The few players that are around buy something
from the token store and keep the game alive - even at times the cashflow is
negative. Why do you bother to keep it up? Is it because you care enough not
to let the game die? If you did, I'd imagine you would pass it on to someone
with enough knowledge to keep the game going (and who would devote atleast
some time to it).

Would you rather hold on to something and thus let it die quietly or make a bit
of money?

I hope you take this proposal seriously.

I'll even consider buying an older (or a really old) version of Dransik if its technically easier for you.

I got a way better idea.

Convert that obsolete minesweeper game into AE classic instead.

Pre-DS era.

Hello OneEye and the crew.

I would like to bump this thread up again. Since last August, I haven't even received a response from you.
I check the forums from time-to-time, sometimes I log in and sometimes I don't.

I know you are busy with your private lives but I would appreciate if you would respond to my query.

I'm still interested in buying rights to Dransik and its IP, preferably only Dransik, but I'm willing to
consider both as a package. Please don't let this great game die, let me take it off your hands.

Best Regards,
Nergal

Bumping this up @OneEye
I tweeted Bill to acquire the IP.

Just curious but how much were you planning to "offer" him for the IP? And what would you do with it if acquired, turn it back to pre-ds, leave it as is with content updates? Is it just you that would keep the game running and develop it?

Feel free to pm me if need be. Not looking to buy it just curious. Because I would kiss your feet for a pre-ds version with consistent updates lmao :D :D

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that the IP of both games cost OE (and any other investors) hundreds of thousands of dollars, excluding their personal upkeep and time. A majority of that is probably a debt they still carry. With that being said, the likeliness of you getting a hold of the IP for less than a couple hundred thousand dollars is probably very low. I agree though, it would be nice to get the IP into the hands of someone who is willing to even put 10 hours a week into the game.
