Whisperdale is dark becuase that was taken at night. The test server and live servers were not on the same world clock...

Very last shots at the Krog Sewer looked almost identical. The swamp design haven't changed at all.

The caps are nice, and the new terrain *looks* a lot more realistic.
But it's far, far too much for me. Too many trees, too much stuff in the way, too much garbage cluttering up what was an already difficult to see ground. I can't see trees to chop them. I pretty much can't see any mob near me because no matter where I am, it's behind a tree. If I do manage to kill something (which is a big if, since I can seldom see *ME* to target anything around me) then I can't see the body. I know I can spacebar to loot them, but if I move, or have to run, or heaven forbid die, then forget ever finding the body behind a tree, under a bush, etc. I also know I am far from the only person having these many problems. Please reconsider the new, but not necessarily improved graphics. Perhaps there could be a new slider-bar in the options, which you can set to varying degrees of opaque-ness around your character when you're close to scenery.
The scenery is great, it really is, but it can be a bit hard on the eyes when its in motion. |

The scenery is great, it really is, but it can be a bit hard on the eyes when its in motion. I really do love the more realistic environment, and kudos to your efforts! But yes, i agree it does become a little hard on the eyes after a while...especially those lovely snow covered trees in winterland >_< I think it's the highlights on the trees that make it harsh on the eyes.. Anyway, i think an opacity bar would work really well, either effecting the scenery around you, or the tree scenery in general --> so in theory you could actually slide the bar all the way down so trees were invisible apart from a little stump or something so you knew where they were. |

As many who know me already know, I am legally blind. I used to have a terrible time walking around, because things blended too much. I find the new world great. Easy to see, differentiate between things and move around in. The only problem I have now is in silvest, where the trees seem to blend more than before even. All in all, it is a fantabulous job and I truly want to thank the Devs for making things easier for an old blind woman to get around in the world.
Thank you. |

Looks like we're taking the next step towards "true" new resolutions; these new trees take up a quarter of the screen apiece!
/me Can't wait for 1600x1200 screen zooming out. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

I like the new landscape, it somehow adds a 3d effect to it. Keep up the good work and transfer it to paperdolling and items. I better like some quality graphics over big amounts of new items with cheap looking unified hued gfx. Work on the storage crates for e.g. they look really poor vs. the simple chests (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
